Dear Sir,
You must have received the
invitation for the Foundation tablet laying function of the Alagappanagar Polytechnic by
the Governor of Kerala Dr. B. Ramakrishna Rao. I was looking forward, .and I had actually
programmed as you would have found from the invitation yourself, to be present at the
function and make a welcome speech, but God has willed otherwise. After my return from
Karaikudi a new development was noticed by the doctors, i.e., there was another fresh
deposit of cancer in the right pelvis and that has made me very weak, apart from anguish-
ing pain. They have embarked on another course of Deep X ray therapy and I have already
had nearly 7 exposures.- They propose to give 3 more and there- after they are thinking of
administering what is called Nitrogen Mustard which I understand is, though not a cure, at
least some kind of preventive remedy for multiple cancer. God is great and His will must
be obeyed.
I shall be grateful if you,
with your love and affection for me and the institutions, send me a message which can be
read on the occasion. I have received messages from many distinguished personalities. I
value a message from you, Sir, most because it is from a genuine friend apart from a
distinguished personality.
I have arranged my daughter
to go to the function and make the welcome speech on my behalf. The work is going on in
Civil, and Government of India have sanctioned Mechanical and Electrical for the
Alagappanagar Polytechnic from 57 June. They will also be giving fresh grants towards that
purpose. This is just for your information.
I trust your health is now
considerably improved with the new tablet I had given you last when you were kind enough
