Dear Sir,
I have great pleasure in
enclosing an invitation for the laying of the Foundation-Tablet of the Alagappanagar
Polytechnic by the Governor of Kerala. This institution was inaugurated by Sri P.S.Rau
last year with Civil Engineering and is located alongside of my textile mills in Kerala. I
am happy to state that the Government of India have sanctioned Mechanical and Electrical
to this Polytechnic from the next academic year. My Educational Trust is naturally
proceeding ahead with the building programme to house the equipment and the lecture
classes of the Polytechnic. The Second Five Year Plan needs both Degree Graduates and
Diploma holders in the Engineering line for its proper fulfillment and hence, it is my
privilege to start this Polytechnic apart from the Engineering College and the other
Polytechnic at Karaikudi, both of which were inaugurated by our revered President, Dr.
Rajendra Prasad.
I shall he grateful for
your good wishes and a short Message which can be read on the occasion.
My health continues to be
what it was with very slight improvement which permits me to be in a wheeled chair for a
couple of hours every day. God is great and in that thought one finds the greatest
happiness. |
